LANDAUER Dosimetry Equipment & Dosimeter

Measurement of radioactive dose is crucial and an equally large variety of rules and regulations govern the maximum doses allowed. These factors have led to the development of different detection devices designed to keep staff and patients safe.

PCB Dose measurement

X-ray inspection systems are widely used in many industry sectors such as:

  • electronic components and PCB manufacturing industry
  • smart phone and computer manufacturing industries
  • military, aerospace and automotive industries

Non-destructive testing of semiconductor devices and PCB allow investigation of hidden areas such as the wire bonding and the quality of solder reflow of components such as BGAs.
During X-ray inspection, high magnification images of micron level should be displayed. This leads the electronic components to be highly irradiated.

microSTARii® PCB

microSTARii® PCB: measuring dose delivered to PCB during X ray inspection

The microSTARii® dosimetry system thanks to LANDAUER®’s OSL technology offers a new powerful and simple tool for dose measurements during PCB X-ray inspection.
The microSTARii combines the nanoDot OSL dosimeters, a reader  and a laptop for reader control, measurement display and storage.

microSTARii brings the following benefits:

  • Compact 10 x 10 mm and easy to fix nanoDot dosimeters directly on the component to be monitored

microSTARii®: improving patient safety with OSL dosimeter

LANDAUER®’s OSL technology and the microSTARii® dosimetry system offer a new simple and quick tool for patient dose secondary assesment in radiotherapy and imaging.
The microSTARii combines a reader, the OSL nanoDot dosimeters and a laptop for reader control, measurement display and storage.
It can be taken anywhere whenever immediate results are required.

OSLR reader: the two-in-one dosimeter reader and annealer

The OSLR reader is part of LANDAUER® complete laboratory dosimetry solution using OSL technology. OSLR performs both reading and annealing process with very high throughput.
- Scalability
Three versions of OLSR are proposed to adapt to the number of workers being monitored in your lab. Upgrading loader capacity during product life time is designed to be simple.


RadLight®​

RadLight Reader is designed to work with the RadWatch Dosimeter and operates with OSL technology. A portable dosimeter badge reader weighing only 5 lbs., the RadLight Reader is easy to operate and able to withstand rugged field conditions. The reader can operate continuously on one set of batteries for 21.5 hours in a wide range of temperatures.


Dosimeters

LANDAUER® offers a complete service of passive dosimetry: the manufacturing of various types of radiation detectors (OSL, TLD, CR-39), the distribution and collection of monitors to and from clients, the analysis, reporting and record keeping of personal doses.


Luxel+®

The Luxel+® dosimeter measures radiation exposure of X-ray, gamma and beta radiations with Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) technology.
Luxel+ can be used for occupational, area/environmental and emergency response monitoring, in any kind of facilities. More than 2 million people in the world are monitored with OSL LANDAUER dosimeters.


​Saturn® Ring

The SATURN ring measures exposure due to X, gamma and beta radiation with thermoluminescent technology. The TLD material is based on natural lithium floride providing the highest sensitivity.

  • A ring designed to maximise hygiene

VISION®

Ergonomic, light and small, the VISION dosimeter does not affect the user’s activity and view. It is made from a plastic resistant to twisting. The dosimeter is flexible and can be placed close to the eye, providing a more accurate measurement of the lens of eye dose.


 

nanoDot® 

Powered by LANDAUER’S Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) technology, single point radiation monitoring nanoDot dosimeters are a useful secondary patient dose verification quality assurance tool and are an ideal solution in multiple settings, including diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, interventional procedures and radiation oncology. These dosimeters can be placed anywhere on the body or phantom and the nondestructive readout supports reanalysis and electronic data archiving.


RadWatch® 

Worn on the wrist or chest, RadWatch is designed for rugged conditions and is sophisticated enough to monitor and measure even a low-level radiation dose from any radiation incidents or threats in the field. Developed in collaboration with the U.S. Army, these lightweight dosimeters use LANDAUER’S trusted Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) technology and feature primary and backup detectors for responder safety. The RadLight reader is used to analyze the RadWatch. 


InLight® Model 2

Featuring LANDAUER’s leading optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology, the InLight Model 2 dosimeter requires no preparation to wear and provides complete reanalysis capabilities for dose verification and archiving. This OSL dosimeter, with its enhanced holder and customizable labels providing relevant wearer information – accommodates Neutrak® for neutron detection and optional imaging sensor. 


InLight® Environmental 

Featuring LANDAUER’S leading Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) technology, the InLight Environmental radiation dosimeter requires no preparation and provides complete monitoring and reanalysis capabilities for dose verification and archiving. It meets the standards of the American National Standards Institute and Health Physics Society and its case is sealed in a waterproof plastic pouch.


Escort® 

Escort provides radiation monitoring for emergency responders who may be accidentally exposed during a radiation incident. The laminated, wallet-size card measures radiation exposure using optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology similar to the Luxel+ dosimeter and can be customized through graphic and background format options to identify groups and wear dates.


Neutrak®, Fast Neutron 

Choose this neutron dosimeter for radiation monitoring of personnel working with unmoderated or moderately shielded fast neutron sources such as Californium-252 and Americium-241 Beryllium. The Neutrack detector can be packaged for neutron detection only or as a component of another LANDAUER dosimeter (such as Luxel+® or InLight®) to include x, gamma and beta radiation monitoring.


Neutrak® - Fast, Intermediate, Thermal Neutron 

Choose this thermal neutron dosimeter for monitoring radiation near graphite-moderated neutron sources or monitoring requirements that involve exposure to low, high or varying mixtures of neutron energies, such as those occurring in nuclear power plants and shielded high-energy accelerators. The Neutrack detector can be packaged for neutron detection only or as a component of another LANDAUER dosimeter (such as Luxel+® or InLIght®) to include x, gamma and beta radiation monitoring.
